It’s always 5 o’clock at Altitude Tours, especially on our Twilight Wine & Craft Beer Experience! Join us for a fun, beer & wine adventure that’ll have your taste buds dancing with excitement as you explore some of Queenstown’s finest vineyards and craft breweries.

Whether you’re a beer lover or a wine enthusiast, this tour lets you pick your passion at each stop. Starting at 3:00pm, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a lively afternoon before heading off to your evening plans, whether you’re a local or just arriving in town. This tour it’s timing is so on point, even we’re impressed!

Your Altitude Tours guide will meet you and your small group at a central Queenstown location, from there, it’s off to the stunning Gibbston wine region, known for its incredible wines and, more recently, the local craft beer scene.

    Location One – GT Tasting

Our first stop is the GT Tasting Room at the historic Gibbston Tavern. Here, you can sample either local wine or craft beer — both options are spectacular. The wine is locally grown and produced, as well as the beer coming from a small brewery just down the road. This spot is a great introduction to the flavours of the Gibbston region, whether you’re sipping a crisp wine or a refreshing local beer.

    Location Two – Kinross
Next, we’ll head to Kinross Cellar Door, where things start to get really fun (and flavourful). If you’re here for beer, you’ll love the selection from a local small-batch brewery. For wine lovers, Kinross represents five boutique wineries, offering a selection of some of the best Pinot Noirs in the world.

    Location Three: Canyon Brewing
Our final stop is at Canyon Brewing in Arthurs Point, where local craft beer, tasty wines and good times await. By now, your group will feel like old friends, and the vibe at Canyon is all about good pours and great company. Sip on a tasting flight of Canyon’s signature brews or enjoy some local wines, while sharing a delicious grazing platter with your small group. It’s the perfect way to round off your afternoon before we head back to Queenstown just in time for your dinner reservation – or whatever fun evening plans you’ve got next.

At Altitude Tours, we’re proud to be experts in creating unforgettable experiences. In 2023, we were awarded New Zealand’s Best Visitor Experience, and in 2021, we took home the prize for World’s Best Wine Tour.

Have the whole day? consider upgrading to our Queenstown Wine Sampler Tour for a 6 hour wine experience. Alternatively, pair your Twilight Tour with a morning Glenorchy tour, creating a full-day adventure of sightseeing and tasting.

Wine for me & beer for him - perfect! I don’t normally write reviews but this tour was so much fun & perfect for our needs. We needed something that was a small group and just half a day (to fit in other touristy activities) & included beer for hubby and wine for me. This tour really delivered! Our guides Tommy & Jono were pretty cool guys, really funny but knowledgeable about the wine & beer and also the local area. We laughed heaps & the little gift bag at the end was a lovely surprise. I definitely recommend this tour!

Dan is a legend! We had such a fun time on the wine tour! Absolutely stunning and breathtaking views everywhere you look. The wine guides were very knowledgeable and Dan is a darling! Happy birthday Dan! May you have so much fun and may your hangover be minor! The group in the bus were super lovely. Love the Browns.

A very fun tour. Small group of friendly people from all over the world. The driver/guide, Angelo was fun and very knowledgeable. We sang to music along the way. Interesting wineries for tastings.
